Alastair McLeod is a celebrity chef based in Brisbane Australia.[1] He is a regular guest on Ready Steady Cook, Queensland Weekender[2] and 9AM with David and Kim[3]
Born in Belfast Northern Ireland, he is the son of singer Candy Devine.[4] He credits his love of cooking and food to his multicultural background of Spanish, Sri Lankan, Danish, and Filipino ancestry. In his late teens he moved to Scotland, where he spent 5 years. He met his wife Andrea there.[5]
He has previously worked in several Michelin listed in Europe, including the Roscoff in Belfast (working for Paul Rankin),[6] and Da Giovanni restaurant in Torino, Italy, as well as other venues in Scotland and France.[7]
